Early Life and Ministry

Jesus was born to Mary and Joseph, who were both devout Jews. He grew up in Nazareth and worked as a carpenter before beginning His ministry at the age of 30. In the Gospel of Luke, it is said that Jesus was baptized by John the Baptist before starting His public ministry.

Teachings and Miracles

Jesus’ teachings were focused on love, compassion, forgiveness, and redemption. He often used parables to illustrate His points and taught about the importance of faith and obedience to God’s will.

In addition to His teachings, Jesus also performed many miracles during His time on earth. He healed the sick, fed the hungry, calmed storms, and even raised people from the dead. These miracles were seen as signs of His divinity by those who witnessed them.

Opposition and Crucifixion

Jesus’ teachings were not always well-received by everyone. Many religious leaders saw Him as a threat to their authority and sought to have Him arrested and killed. Judas Iscariot betrayed Jesus for 30 pieces of silver which led to His arrest.

Jesus was tried before Pontius Pilate, who found Him guilty of blasphemy against God. As a result, He was sentenced to death by crucifixion. This event is known as Good Friday among Christians.

Three days after His death, Jesus rose from the dead, which is known as the resurrection. This event is considered to be a cornerstone of Christian faith and celebrated on Easter Sunday.

Jesus’ teachings and life have had a profound impact on human history. His message of love, compassion, and forgiveness has inspired countless people throughout the centuries. Today, Christianity is one of the largest religions in the world with over 2 billion followers.
