What Did Jesus Promise His Disciples After His Resurrection?

After the resurrection, Jesus appeared to His disciples and promised them many things. Let’s take a look at what He promised them.

1. The Holy Spirit

Jesus promised His disciples that He would send the Holy Spirit to be with them always. This promise was fulfilled on the day of Pentecost when they received the Holy Spirit in a powerful way.

You believe in God; believe also in me. My Father’s house has many rooms; if that were not so, would I have told you that I am going there to prepare a place for you? And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come back and take you to be with me that you also may be where I am” (John 14:1-3).
