Who Told the Disciples That Jesus Has Risen?

When Jesus was crucified, his disciples were devastated and heartbroken. They had put all their faith and hope in him, believing he was the Messiah who would save them from their troubles.

However, on the third day after his death, something miraculous happened – Jesus rose from the dead! But who told the disciples that Jesus had risen?

According to the Bible, Mary Magdalene was the first person to discover that Jesus’ tomb was empty. She went to tell Peter and John about it, saying “They have taken the Lord out of the tomb, and we don’t know where they have put him!”

(John 20:2). Peter and John then ran to the tomb to see for themselves.

When they arrived, they found that Mary Magdalene was right – the tomb was empty. However, they didn’t see Jesus there.

Instead, they saw strips of linen cloth lying where his body had been placed. This confused them greatly.

Later that same day, two of Jesus’ disciples were walking on a road to a village called Emmaus when a stranger joined them. It turned out that this stranger was actually Jesus himself! He walked with them and talked with them about everything that had happened over the past few days.

When they arrived at Emmaus and sat down for dinner together, Jesus broke bread with them and suddenly vanished from their sight. The disciples were amazed by what had just happened.

Excitedly, they returned to Jerusalem to tell everyone what they had seen and heard. While they were sharing their story with others who had gathered there, suddenly Jesus appeared in front of them!

They were frightened at first because they thought he was a ghost. But he reassured them by showing them his hands and feet which still had scars from his crucifixion.

It wasn’t until this moment that the disciples truly believed that Jesus had risen from the dead. They were overjoyed by this miraculous event and went on to spread the good news to others.

In conclusion, Mary Magdalene was the first person to discover that Jesus’ tomb was empty, but it was not until Jesus appeared to his disciples that they truly believed he had risen from the dead. This event changed their lives forever and continues to inspire people all around the world today.
