Why Jesus Is Important in Your Life?

As a believer, you may already know the importance of Jesus in your life. But have you ever stopped to truly ponder why this is so?

Why is Jesus, a man who lived over 2000 years ago, still relevant to our lives today? In this article, we will explore the reasons why Jesus is crucial to our lives and how we can benefit from His teachings.

Jesus offers salvation
One of the most important reasons why Jesus is important in our lives is that He offers us salvation. When we believe in Him and accept Him as our Lord and Savior, we are saved from eternal damnation.

This means that even though we may face trials and tribulations in this life, we have the assurance of eternal life with God in heaven. As John 3:16 says, “For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.”

Jesus teaches us how to love
Another reason why Jesus is important in our lives is that He teaches us how to love. In Matthew 22:37-39, Jesus says, “Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind.

This is the first and greatest commandment. And the second is like it: Love your neighbor as yourself.” By following these commandments, we learn how to love God and others selflessly.

Jesus sets an example for us
Jesus also sets an example for us to follow. He lived a perfect life without sinning and showed us what it means to serve others.

In John 13:14-15, Jesus washes His disciples’ feet and says, “Now that I, your Lord and Teacher, have washed your feet, you also should wash one another’s feet. I have set you an example that you should do as I have done for you.” By following Jesus’ example, we learn how to be humble and serve others.

Jesus brings us peace

In a world full of chaos and uncertainty, Jesus brings us peace. In John 14:27, Jesus says, “Peace I leave with you; my peace I give you.

I do not give to you as the world gives. Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid.” When we trust in Jesus, we have the assurance of His peace even in the midst of turmoil.

In conclusion, Jesus is important in our lives for many reasons. He offers us salvation, teaches us how to love, sets an example for us to follow, and brings us peace.

As believers, it is important that we continue to grow in our relationship with Him and share His love with others. As Ephesians 2:8-9 says, “For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith—and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God—not by works so that no one can boast.”
